Saturday, August 1st, is our first annual Crafter’s De-stash Sale. Here, you will be able to pick up craft items that other crafters are looking to re-home. This venue is similar to a garage sale, except only craft items are available.
Our next meeting is Monday, August 3rd at the Domingo Baca Multi-generational Center, which is on the corner of Wyoming and Carmel- just north of Paseo del Norte. The business portion is going to be longer than normal so we can review the revised by-laws. The new by-laws should have gone out via e-mail; please take time to review them and bring any questions you may have. To spice things up, we would like everyone to bring a dish to share so that we can have some yummy food while we talk. If you are participating in the Sew Creative Club on August 4th, please bring your quilt to the meeting. Lisa will be reporting on her trip to the Sister’s Quilt Show; you don’t want to miss this! We are also having a show-n-tell portion, so bring what you’ve been working on.
Continue to work on your color inspiration block. This should be a 12″ block created from your color inspiration from the June meeting. Many of you brought your blocks last meeting and we were all quite impressed! If you are done, please bring them to the upcoming meeting.
For those that are submitting quilts into QuiltCon 2016: the fabric for the Michael Miller challenge has started to go out and the triangles for the EZ quilting challenge are set to ship at the end of July. Of course you don’t have to have the free goodies to participate, you can always purchase your own supplies.
